Legal History is a branch of science that examines the rules and institutions of law, the needs which led to the establishment of such rules and institutions, and lastly the reasons why these came to an end. Likewise, Turkish Legal History examines the rules and institutions of the regions where the Turks had lived. It is believed that the emergence of Turks dates back to 4000 BC. They lived in the region in the midst of Altay-Ural Mountains. During this period, they established several states. There is no doubt that, throughout history, there have been various legal systems, states and nations had their own legal structures, one of which is Turkish Legal System.
