Objectives: Defined as the constant occupation with one matter or thought, the concept of rumination is recognized as an important cognitive process, which plays a role in the evolution of many psychiatric disorders. In order to evaluate the form of ruminative thought, many measurement questionnaires have been developed in psychiatry practice. The Ruminative Thought Style Questionnaire estimates ruminative thinking, regardless of any psychopathology, as a single cognitive process. The purpose of this study is to examine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Ruminative Thought Style Questionnaire, developed by Brinker and Dozois in English.
