This work implements free space optical communication (FSO) in an amplify-and-forward (AF) two-way relay network (TWRN) to exploit the advantages of spectral efficiency, full-duplex Gigabit throughput, license-free spectrum, easy installation and to overcome the limitations of free space optical communication due to distance dependent turbulence induced fading. To quantify the performance of the proposed scheme, overall outage probability (OOP) and ergodic sum rate (ESR) expressions are derived over Exponentiated Weibull (EW) fading channels. The simple theoretical results which are validated with the Monte-Carlo simulations show that a system designer can get a quick idea about the FSO TWRN without resorting to complex prototypes or simulations.
