Education which is the meeting place of cultural riches is the most important topic of the century. Education aimed at improving academic achievement provides the critical thinking ability against prejudice. Teacher is the principal actor who has a key role in education. As a matter of fact teacher's education and trainin activities and roles are increasing day by day. This situation is of great improtance for the future of society and Turkey. As known, the most important item of an educational system is the teacher. The role of education in tolerance and respect for the cultural differences and the value and adaquacy of the teacher in education are of great improtance. It also examines teachers' perceptions about the management of diversity and their attitude towards multicultural education because the importance of including cultural differences in curriculum has been widely emphasized among educational institutions, from kindergarten schools to higher education. It is known that the success of any change in curriculum mostly depends on the capabilities of the teacher. The teachers should be knowledgeable about multicultural education and how to apply the principles of multicultural education in the classroom. So, the role of teacher has crucial importance in doing multicultural education and giving rights to all children coming from different cultures.
