RECEP USLU, PhD, Prof., Musicology and Turkish Music Department of Art and Design and Architecture Faculty in Istanbul Medeniyet University in Istanbul (Turkey).
He is a leading researching about music history of 15 and 18th centuries on Balkan, Turkey and Middle East Areas. After he worked in the research centre and library of an encyclopedia in Istanbul/ Turkey, he became a lecturer/scholar in the Department of Musicology in Istanbul Technical University by famous compositor Prof. Yalcin Tura in 1994. He wrote many articles and books about the Turkish music history and systematic musicology. He presented many papers in international symposiums about music. He interviewed with Walter Zev Feldman from Abu Dhabi, Karl Signal from USA, E. Popescue-judetz from Romania, Sureyya Agayeva from Azerbaijan, İlhami Gökçen from Canada. He founded the Musicology Department of Conservatory of Gazi University in Ankara in 2012. He was invited to found the musicology department of Art and Design and Architecture Faculty (STMF) in Istanbul Medeniyet University in 2016. He works at Istanbul Medeniyet University nowadays as Asos.Prof.
He became as adviser of some theses such as Miltiadis Pappas from Greece and Denise Mete from Austria and Xi Yang from China.
He has some books and more than 70 times music articles in various academic and popular journals. He believes the philosophy of universal musicology. He won the award for music-writer of the year 2013 by Turkish Cultural Ministry.

Murad'a Müziğin Maksatları (translated to Turkish Makasidül-elhan of Meragi); 9- Zavaid Favaid Ashara were published by TC Başbakanlık Atatürk Kültür Merkezi in 2019; 10-Marifet-i Musiki 1385? (2021) that is first edvar in Anatolia.
