Assist. Prof. Dr. Emine Ayyildiz has BA and MA in Psychology and PhD in PreSchool Education. She has 14 years experience as Early Years Guidance Counsellor and School Administrator at public and private schools. Graduated from Perkins School for the Blind, Educational Leadership Program at 2002 and have 16 years experience at working children with multiple disabilities and deafblindness at early ages and their teachers and families. 7 years experience as Staff Member at Special Education, Guidance and Psychological Counseling and Child Development Departments of several Turkish Universities. She is the Turkiye’s national representative of ICEVI (International Council for Education of People with Visual Impairment)-Europe and is also in board of trustees of Turkiye Beyazay Association and Ayşe Nurtaç Sözbir Günebakan Association for Supporting The Families and The Children with Multiple Disabilities and Visual Impairment. Currently she has been working at Istanbul Medeniyet University, Faculty of Educational Sciences, Department of Preschool Education. Her special research interests are early childhood special education, children with multiple disabilities and visual impairment, teacher education, parents education, preschool education and IBPYP (The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme).
